Delete Your IPA Chart Account

Permanent, immediate, and free. Below is the step-by-step process for every platform, and a full list of the data we erase when you confirm.

Before you continue

Account deletion is permanent. There is no recovery, undo, or grace period — once the request is confirmed, your profile, learning progress, and authentication credentials are removed within seconds. If you've signed in with Google and want to keep using IPA Chart anonymously, you can also simply sign out from the settings screen and continue without an account.

From the iOS app

  1. Open the IPA Chart app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  5. Read the confirmation dialog, then tap Delete to confirm.
  6. You will be signed out and returned to the home screen. Your account and all data are gone.

From the Android app

  1. Open the IPA Chart app on your Android device.
  2. Tap the Profile tab at the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap the Settings icon (top-right).
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  5. Confirm by tapping Delete in the dialog that appears.
  6. You will be signed out and returned to the home screen. Your account and all data are gone.

From the web (ipachart.app)

  1. Sign in to your account at ipachart.app.
  2. Open your **Profile** page.
  3. Switch to the **Settings** tab.
  4. Click **Delete account** at the bottom of the page.
  5. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
  6. You will be signed out automatically. Your account and all data are gone.

What we delete when you confirm

The following data is permanently erased from our systems within seconds of your confirmation:

  • Your profile: display name, email address, profile photo
  • Your learning progress: completed lessons, scores, streaks, XP, diamonds, level
  • Your shadowing and dictation progress for every topic and lesson
  • Your phoneme mastery scores
  • Your leaderboard position and rank score
  • Every avatar image you have uploaded to our storage
  • Your authentication record with Google Sign-In (you can sign in again later to create a brand new, unrelated account)

What we retain

We do not retain any personally identifiable information after deletion. Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g. total daily active users) do not include any data that can be linked back to a specific account, and remain available for service-health monitoring.

Timeline

Deletion is processed in real time. There is no waiting period and no human review. Backups containing the data you deleted are rotated out within 30 days as part of routine backup hygiene; we never restore from those backups for the purposes of recovering a deleted account.

Need help?

If you can no longer sign in to your account (lost device, lost access to your Google account, etc.) and need us to delete your data on your behalf, email ipachartapp@gmail.com from the address associated with your account and we will process the request manually within 5 business days.
